What is the Governor Thinking?!?
From Rita Palma:
Please call Andrew Cuomo’s office today at 518-474-8390 and ask him to give us equal time before he decides to take away our freedom to refuse vaccines for our children. We can arrange an MD, a vaccine injury attorney, religious figures and vaccine injury victims to meet with him to bring to him our side of a complicated issue. Let him know that ‘issues are simple until you understand them.’ The RE families are less than 1% of all of NY and we will NEVER vaccinate. Taking away our freedom will do nothing. Tweet him and go on his FB page- he reads them. #equaltime #msm #pharmalies please be polite and respectful.

Below is FED UP DEM Commentary:
Cuomo has *not* come out in full support of repealing the Religious Exemption to Vaccination. WSHU.org reports:
“Cuomo, speaking on Long Island Monday, revised his position, saying he now backs an end to religious exemptions for vaccinations for this particular outbreak. “I do not think, in this case, the religious exemption is appropriate,” Cuomo said. But the governor did not say whether he supports the bill (to repeal the NY State religious exemption). Cuomo says health officials in his administration are working with Rockland County and New York City to address what he says is a “public health emergency.””
The bill to repeal the Religious Exemption to Vaccination does *NOT* have enough support in Albany to become law at this point in time. The sponsors of the bill are hoping to garner support as we move into the summer.
“Hoylman and other supporters of the measure say they don’t know if there are enough votes in the legislature to pass the bill into law. But they say they hope to garner enough support to have a law by summer.”
Meanwhile citizens throughout NY are having a huge impact by having conversations with their legislators, specifically Assemblyman Andrew Hevesi. Look at this Facebook post:
“We had a great meeting with Hevesi, Rita & Dr. Larry. Hevesi was in support of the bill when we started the meeting, by the end of the meeting he had stated that Dinowitz needs to provide him with proof that children with REs are causing the outbreaks. If not, then he will vote no on the bill.”
And in some more good news, bill A6847, which would have created a centralized database in Albany tracking all adult vaccinations was voted *down* in the Health Committee today! All Republicans in the committee voted no, as well as Charles Barron, Ron Kim, Thomas Abinati, Robin Schimminger, Michaelle Solages and Andrew Hevesi. That meeting with Hevesi clearly had an immediate impact! These Democrats who voted correctly should be called and praised for doing so.
What this means is KEEP DOING WHAT YOU ARE DOING – IT IS WORKING!!! CALL, EMAIL, SNAIL-MAIL, SHOW UP AT THEIR OFFICES. WE ARE HAVING A MAJOR IMPACT!!!
