Take Action: NY bill introduced to force Covid-19 vaccines on everyone

TAKE ACTION AGAINST THIS BY CLICKING RIGHT HERE

12/7/20

From John Gilmore & the Autism Action Network

Despite numerous polls showing that a majority of Americans and New Yorkers do not want to get a Covid-19 vaccine, and governors in Texas, Tennessee and Florida declaring that Covid-19 shots will be voluntary, New York Assemblywoman Linda Rosenthal (D- Upper Westside) introduced Assembly Bill A11179  on Friday that would allow unspecified “public health officials” to decide if all New York residents should be forced to get Covid-19 vaccines.  As of yet, the bill has no co-sponsors in the Assembly, or an identical “Same As” bill in the State Senate. To our knowledge, this is the first bill introduced in the United States that would mandate Covid-19 vaccines.   Vague language is included that may allow for medical exemptions. No other exemptions would be allowed.

If passed, this bill would also create the first universal vaccine mandate for the entire population of a state,  a long-sought after marketing goal of the vaccine industry.  Rosenthal’s bill would also ask her colleagues in the legislature to agree to an unprecedented surrender of decision-making power to “public health officials” over how and when a vaccine becomes compulsory, and does not even specify if those are local or state officials.

The “public health officials” could make this decision if following the launch of Governor Andrew Cuomo’s Covid-19 vaccine distribution program the “residents of the state are not developing sufficient immunity from Covid-19.” But what is sufficient immunity? Who are these “public health officials” who make this decision for 20 million New Yorkers?

Please get on the phone to Rosenthal and the legislative leadership to oppose this bill. Before you take action on this horrendous bill, if you value the news, information, and advocacy opportunities provided to you by the Autism Action Network please support our efforts and keep us in the fight by donating here: https://grouprev.com/autismcommunitywalk2020-AutismActionNetwork

Please click here  Take Action  to send messages of opposition to Rosenthal, Health Committee Chair Richard Gottfried, Speaker of the Assembly Carl Heastie, Governor Andrew Cuomo, as well as your own member of the Assembly. Call them at the numbers below and politely voice your opposition to this bill.

Richard Gottfried, Assembly Health Committee Chair, (212) 807-7900, (518) 455-4941

Carl Heastie, Speaker of the Assembly,  Carl Heastie, (518) 455-5459, (718) 654-6539

Rosenthal appears to be unaware of basic fact about Covid-19 vaccines. The bill assumes that the Covid-19 vaccine will provide immunity even though the manufacturers of the current leading Covid-19 vaccine contenders do not claim they will create immunity. Even Anthony Fauci has said that the vaccines will at best avoid symptoms, not create immunity or stop the transmission of the disease.

“Importantly, the initial COVID-19 vaccines will prevent symptoms in those who become infected with the coronavirus rather than kill the virus itself, Anthony Fauci, MD, director of the National Institute for Allergy and Infectious Diseases, said during the Yahoo Finance All Markets Summit on Monday.

‘The primary thing you want to do is that if people get infected, prevent them from getting sick, and if you prevent them from getting sick, you will ultimately prevent them from getting seriously ill,’ he said.”

https://www.webmd.com/lung/news/20201027/early-vaccines-wil-prevent-symptoms-not-virus

So the logic behind Rosenthal’s bill is that if the vaccine does not provide “sufficient immunity,” even though no one even claims that it will provide any immunity, and we have no idea what “sufficient immunity” means, then the appropriate response is force everyone in the state to get the shot whether they want to or not. Which would accomplish what? Whatever happened to, “My body, My choice”?

Rosenthal completely ignores the extreme haste (Warp Speed) in developing the current batch of Covid-19 vaccines. The fact that animal trials were skipped. We have no idea how safe the vaccines are. There are completely new technologies used in the vaccines such as novel adjuvants and messenger RNA methods. We have no idea how these shots could potentially affect people’s reproductive capability. They do not produce immunity. We don’t even know if they will reduce disease more than doing nothing. Yet we are in a manufactured hysteria rush to force everyone to undergo an experimental medical procedure which is fool hardy beyond belief, and a gross violation of the Nuremberg Code that prohibits forced participation in medical experiments.

Rosenthal is not known to have any children herself, but she is enthusiastic about demanding that parents comply with her nostrums about vaccines. She was a co-sponsor of the bill that repealed the religious exemption from vaccine mandates to attend school, and she is also a co-sponsor of a bill (A973A) that would allow 9-year-olds to get HPV vaccines without parental consent. She is, however, a powerful advocate for cats, having authored 15 bills relating to cats in the current session alone!

Rosenthal is notorious for refusing to meet with constituents on vaccine issues. No representative of the Autism Action Network, or any constituent that we know of, and there have been dozens who have attempted over the years, have been successful in obtaining a face-to-face meeting with Rosenthal.

King Cuomo Makes Rules For US, not for him…

WEAR A MASK – Unless you’re the KING

August 31, 2020 — A photo popped up on Twitter this evening of Dictator Cuomo walking a dog on the street (of what is likely Albany, NY) wearing no mask.

I don’t wear masks when I am outside.

However, I also don’t send tweets every single day telling everyone to wear a mask otherwise they are horrible human beings. I also don’t hold press conferences every single day demanding everyone wear a mask otherwise they are going to kill all who they come in contact with.

The elite don’t live by the rules they force upon us.

The elite don’t wear masks unless it is to virtue signal for a photo op.

Most of the elites don’t vaccinate themselves or their children, and they will not be taking the coming experimental COVID vaccine.

Instead what the elite do is volunteer the common folk to be lab rats in Big Pharma’s science experiments. They force the common folk to wear masks to buy bread, to go to work, and now they are trying to force this even inside our own homes. They force the common folk to quarantine and lockdown their communities, suffocating small businesses while ensuring the wealth of billionaires is well protected and continues to increase.

Andrew Cuomo is the biggest single threat to the common folk of New York state.

Of interest: Anne McCloy, reporter for CBS6 in Albany, says the Governor has not called on her to ask him a question during his pressers since June. I wonder what he is afraid of?

I just started to follow McCloy on Twitter:

Cuomo Nursing Home Hearings

Protests Virtually Unreported

Cuomo’s Death Machine

Zucker Continues to Lie

When Can Family Visit Nursing Homes?

***

August 4, 2020 — Yesterday the New York legislative body in Albany held hearings on the nursing home debacle that caused 6,000 to possibly 12,000 deaths headed by Governor Cuomo and NY Health Commissioner Dr. Howard Zucker. Protests of over 1,000 people happened outside of the Capitol on State St. with multiple speakers including whistleblower Nurse Erin Marie Olszewski.

Nurse Erin Marie is a major danger to Governor Cuomo as she is exposing the malpractice that turned Elmhurst Hospital in Queens, NY into a death factory during the COVID crisis. When Nurse Erin Marie stepped up to speak, New York Activist Rita Palma’s Facebook live stream went completely dead after running with no problem for 30 minutes recording all of the speakers who went before her. This seems to be another account of Facebook censoring voices for medical freedom. Eventually event organizers were able to publish her speech in full and you can view that here.

24 hours later the protest barely made the mainstream news. Spectrum mentioned the protest in the fifth paragraph of a report titled Cuomo Decries the Politics of the Pandemic.

Zucker Lies About Death Order

New York State Health Commissioner Dr. Howard Zucker was questioned by members of the Senate and Assembly regarding why as many as 12,000 nursing home seniors died during the COVID crisis. Zucker refused to provide an updated, accurate number of nursing home residents who died of COVID during the hearing.

On March 25th Cuomo & Zucker released guidance to nursing homes stating, “No resident shall be denied readmission or admission to the (nursing home) solely based on a confirmed or suspected diagnosis of COVID-19. (Nursing homes) are prohibited from requiring a hospitalized resident who is determined medically stable to be tested for COVID-19 prior to admission or readmission.”

Many have called this order a death sentence for thousands of seniors in nursing homes.

According to Newsday’s coverage of the hearing, Zucker said the above guidance was not mandatory. But obviously the wording of this directive was so incredibly strong what nursing home administrator would go against Cuomo during an unprecedented pandemic? Zucker went on to state the above guidance given on March 25th was not responsible for the massive amount of deaths in nursing homes. Newsday reported Zucker argued “the (health) department’s research of antibodies shows the peak of deaths could be attributed to infections before March 25 carried by staff and visitors who showed no symptoms at the time.”

There are two major problems with Zucker’s position here:

  1. Asymptomatic transmission of the novel coronavirus has been proven to be “extremely rare,” even according to the World Health Organization (WHO)
  2. Antibody testing have shown to be remarkably flawed, and the data they provide is extremely unreliable.

Zucker should be very aware that on June 11th WHO announced that asymptomatic transmission of the novel coronavirus is “extremely rare,” especially since he used to work for WHO. Is Zucker making the remarkably outlandish claim that 6,000 to 12,000 nursing home residents all died from an “extremely rare” form of transmission? It makes far more sense that seniors with symptoms of COVID that nursing homes were forced to house due to the March 25th order from Zucker were the source of infection.

To quote certified nurse and nursing home staffer Nicole Whittaker speaking to Spectrum news, “Masks were issued, but were being worn for too long,” she said. “We lost a significant number of residents, and many of these deaths could have been prevented. Residents with symptoms should have been isolated immediately, not after more than a month of infections.” (emphasis added)

Expert Witnesses

In the afternoon two witnesses were questioned. Michael A.L. Balboni, who is the Executive Director of Greater New York Health Care Facilities Association, and Neil Heyman, President of the Southern New York Association. Below are some of the highlights from the afternoon questions that came from Senator James Skoufis, Assemblyman John McDonald, Senator Gustavo Rivera, Assemblyman Ron Kim, Senator Sue Serino, Assemblyman Kevin Byrne and Assemblyman Tom Abinnanit. Here are the highlights from those questions

Senator James Skoufis asked if it was a lack of PPE that was “the primary driver” of infection in nursing homes. Balboni responded, “It is very difficult to be able to identify the exact mode of transmission” and that it was a combination of a lot of factors. Skoufis followed up by saying, “But this was at the top of the list?” Balboni said they believed it played a role, but never verbally agreed with Skoufis that this was the main cause of infection. To me it felt like Skoufis was searching for a “get-out-of-jail” card for Cuomo and Zucker. He didn’t get it.

Assemblyman John T. McDonald had environmental questions. He discussed relative humidity of air inside of a building as potentially playing a major role in how actively the virus could be transmitted. He asked if there is humidity testing in the nursing homes. Both Balboni and Heyman said there is not. Balboni said there could be an introduction of UV light in the ventilation systems to neutralize viruses. These are all valid concerns as we know respiratory viruses are mostly transmitted as aerosolized particles in the air. We have thus far been told that the novel coronavirus is only transmitted through droplets, however there are hundreds of scientists who disagree with this and believe the virus is airborne.

Senator Gustavo Rivera, chairman of the Senate Health Committee, asked about how nursing home deaths were reported. This is a crucial point that we must get an answer to in order to know the total number of seniors who died. Balboni said they followed the guidelines in the “HERD” survey (I don’t know what survey that is) and they didn’t take a look at deaths outside of the guidance on that survey. Balboni said the challenge is determining the cause of death. The medical examiners don’t determine the cause of death but rather the clinicians do, and there is “subjectivity.” Balboni echoed a very important point that the Medical Freedom community has been saying for months. There is no way to pin point and say what the precise reason is that someone died. If someone had emphysema for 20 years, contracted coronavirus and then died, we cannot say what precisely killed them.

This is correct, and goes directly against the CDC guidance telling clinicians to presume COVID as the cause of death for death certificates. I appreciate Balboni’s honesty on this.

Assemblyman Ron Kim was up next and said when he surveyed nursing homes they told him they only heard from the New York Department of Health (NYDOH) when the department wanted updated death count numbers. He stated that Cuomo provided legal indemnity to protect frontline workers, but also gave blanket immunity to all health care administrators. Kim asked Balboni and Heyman if they had lobbied for that indemnification, both said no, they did not. Balboni went on to make the point that health care providers are legally required to provide a “reasonable standard of care” to their patients, but that during a pandemic the definition of “reasonable standard of care” changes. Kim asked, “Are we better prepared now?” Both men said “Yes.” Kim gave a thumbs up, and that was it (his time ran out).

Senator Sue Serino asked such softball questions I am not going to report on them. I would have thought a Republican would have grilled harder and deeper, but she did not.

Assemblyman Kevin Byrne brought up an important topic – vacancy rates at nursing homes. Neil stated the increase in vacancy was directly related to the stopping of elected surgery. Elected surgery releases is the biggest driver of nursing home occupancy. Think of someone getting a hip replacement and then moving into a nursing home for the first time. Balboni said this is the next crisis coming in long term care. Currently nursing homes are barely making payroll. There were residents who were in nursing homes for the past 10 years who left and they are not coming back any time soon. Nursing homes face an incredible struggle to keep their doors open. Byrne asked if vacancy rates are dropping now? The answer is no. The fact that people can’t visit loved ones in nursing homes is stopping people from becoming residents. “We’ve never seen this before,” said Balboni, and it is a budding crisis that could cause nursing homes to shutdown.

Assemblyman Tom Abinanti focused on getting family members back in to nursing homes to visit loved ones. Abinanti sated family members are not visitors they should be viewed as part of the staff, part of the treatment for the senior in the nursing home. Balboni agreed with this. Abinanti asked if they had a plan to bring back visitors. Neil said that there is no plan at this time. Everyone is focused and concerned with caution. Balboni said he is confident that the ‘individual facillities’ can come up with plans to bring family visitors back safely. Abinanti asked if they had any numbers to show what the transmission risk was fromfamily members? They did not have any data on that subject.

This coverage is not comprehensive of the entire all-day hearing. Stay tuned to this blog as I will be publishing as much as possible regarding this hearing, and the upcoming hearing next week focused on nursing home deaths that occurred in upstate New York.

Cuomo Still Hiding Nursing Home Deaths

From John Gilmore, Autism Action Network

ACTION ALERT!

Cuomo still won’t release nursing home deaths, Covid 19 hearings announced

July 17, 2020 — Hearings on New York State’s response to the covid 19 epidemic were announced by the State Senate and Assembly. These hearings will be an indirect way to examine how Governor Andrew Cuomo has performed. He was given complete control over the response to covid 19 by the legislature on March 3.

The most important hearings, based on the estimated number of deaths resulting from policy decisions will be hearings on the nursing home fiasco scheduled for August 3 and 10, and on the subways on August 25.

Cuomo had been criticized for his decision, since rescinded, to force nursing homes to admit patients with active cases of covid 19, even though CDC safety guidelines could not be followed, and his Executive Order prohibited nursing homes from even testing residents for covid 19.

Cuomo still has not released information on how many people caught covid 19 in nursing homes but died in hospitals, and other locations, outside the nursing homes.

Before you take action on these issues if you value the information and advocacy provided to you by the autism action network please make us possible for us to do so by supporting our one fundraising event of the year we do in conjunction with the Autism Community Walk, here: https://grouprev.com/autismcommunitywalk2020 which is TENTATIVELY scheduled for Sunday, October 18 in Belmont Lake State Park in Babylon, NY.

Please click on this link  Take Action  to send messages to the Governor, Senate Majority Leader Andrea Stewart Cousins, Speaker Carl Heastie, Assembly  Health Chair Richard Gottfried, Senate Health Chair Gustavo Rivera, your State Senator and your Assemblymember asking them to release the number of people who died in nursing homes and who contracted covid 19 in a nursing home but died in a hospital or other location.

Cuomo is also making it difficult to find the current number of nursing home deaths. That number is not released by the State. The raw data is though. It can be calculated by doing the following:

  1. Find an online PDF document at the NYS Department of Health website at: https://www.health.ny.gov/statistics/diseases/covid-19/fatalities_nursing_home_acf.pdf
  1. Add up 252 numbers, which includes 4 separate numbers for each on New York’s for 63 counties in New York,
  2. The current death total is 6482. BUT as it says on the NYSDOH document, “This data does not reflect COVID-19 confirmed or COVID-19 presumed positive deaths that occurred outside of the facility.”

The hearing on the Metropolitan Transit Authority (subways) is crucial as well.  Cuomo, not NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio, has ultimate control over the MTA subways. In March, the number of trains were substantially reduced, which resulted in the remaining trains being packed with riders.  In April a Massachusetts Institute of Technology study said,  “New York City’s multipronged subway system was a major disseminator – if not the principal transmission vehicle – of coronavirus infection during the initial takeoff of the massive epidemic that became evident throughout the city during March 2020.”

NY Wants Permanent Mask Law

From John Gilmore

Autism Action Network

July 6, 2020 — New bills in the New York legislature seek to make permanent Governor Andrew Cuomo’s temporary Executive Orders allowing business owners to require employees and customers to wear face masks. The mask requirement began on March 7 with Cuomo’s Executive Order 202.17, and business were given explicit  authority to refuse service to people without masks with Executive Order 202.34 issued on May 28.  Executive Orders remain in effect for only thirty days and then must be renewed. Cuomo’s emergency power to rule by edict will expire next spring. But the proposed law has no end date. And it could be the beginning of a whole range of bills to make permanent other parts of the covid 19 Executive Order regime.

This bill is just another of the many bills passed and proposed since 2018 that steadily take away medical decision making away from individuals and parents of minors, and gives that power to politicians, bureaucrats, businesses, anyone but the person who will need to live with the consequences of the decision, and who will have to pay for it.

New York State Senator Todd Kaminsky (D-Long Beach) introduced Senate Bill S8559a, and Assemblymember Linda Rosenthal (D-Upper Westside) introduced the identical Assembly Bill A10694. (both are pictured above)

These bills are completely redundant. Current Executive Orders already achieve the purported goals of the proposed law. One would assume that when Cuomo believes the Executive Orders are no longer necessary, he will stop renewing them. These bills will simply saddle us with a new permanent silly law. One thing is clear, even by the logic of the Cuomo administration, it does nothing new to protect public health.

Please click on the link Take Action  to send a message to your State Senator and Assemblymember as well as Kaminsky and Rosenthal, and the Governor, Senate Majority Leader Andrea Stewart Cousins and Speak of the Assembly Carl Heastie, to express your opposition to this bill.\

One of the worst tendencies of legislators is “Dosomethingism.” Problems arise and legislators want to be seen “doing something” about the problem. Frequently, they don’t much care what it is that they do, they care even less about the consequences doing something might have, they just don’t want to be caught not “doing something.” So they will pass any kind of stupid law as long as they can say they did something.  This law seems like a good example of Dosomethingism.
